You have 4 choices: student, parent, educator or working professional. Then you click the for what year do you need a scholarship tab for example High school freshman, college junior etc. Then you enter your zip code and click submit. Next you will create your personal profile. This is where you specify your name, age, ethnicity and demographics. This information will help the scholarship search provide you with reasonable scholarship opportuties. For example you don't want scholarships for japaneese students if your not japaneese. That's why it is important to be perfectly honest. That includes listing a primary email address that you regularly check, because the scholarship search will contact you via email.

You get reminders about deadlines, it's like your teacher saying don't forget your project is due Monday. You can't beat the benefits of using a scholarship searc. The options above are also important because it allows you to control what types of information gets sent to your email. There is also a feature that allows you to disable email notifications but still keep an active profile. The problem with this is that you just have to login to your account and check the messages instead of just checking your email.
